Expected Behavior:
- Support and Encourage: Spectators are expected to support and encourage all players in a positive, sportsmanlike manner, promoting a respectful environment.
- Respect Others: Treat players, coaches, officials, and fellow spectators with respect, both verbally and nonverbally.
- Respect Officials: Respect officials' authority during and after games. Address concerns through proper channels; never approach, yell at, or belittle officials.
- No Coaching or Officiating: Refrain from coaching or officiating from the stands to avoid confusion for players and ensure coaches can effectively manage their teams.
- No Abusive Behavior: Threatening, verbal, physical, or abusive behavior toward anyone will not be tolerated.
- Respect Facilities: Treat facilities, equipment, and property with respect. Damage or misuse may result in removal from the venue and future events.
- Report Misconduct: Report any misconduct by coaches, players, parents, or officials to the gym supervisor. The gym supervisor will escalate to the League Director as needed.
Coaches' Responsibility: Coaches are responsible for ensuring their spectators' behavior aligns with this code.
Disciplinary Actions:
- Immediate Removal: Spectators may be asked to leave the gym by a gym supervisor or League Director and barred from returning that day.
- Future Game Ban: Repeated or serious misconduct may result in a ban from attending future games or league events, as determined by the League Director. All decisions are final.
The league has a zero-tolerance policy for abusive or disrespectful behavior toward players, coaches, officials, or spectators. All participants are expected to contribute to a safe, positive, and sportsmanlike environment.
